Features & Rules
THC Website Rules
Like so many things in life we should rely on the Lord for our safety, however I also firmly believe that God expects us to be wise. To be wise there are some important rules we all must follow. This is a bit different than in the past, because now members can add comments that will appear on the site. There will also be a lot of content being added because the new site will make it very easy to add information to the site, and some of the work will be delegated to maximize the usefulness to all of us!
1 – Everything we put on the site must be honoring to God. No exceptions!
2 – Names, addresses, phone numbers etc should only go in areas that are restricted to members only areas unless absolutely necessary.
3 – Content should be THC related or directly related to our mission, IE christian living, christian child rearing, education, etc.
4 – Rules are subject to change and will be reviewed and updated by the leadership team in November.
Scripture References
Hi fellow members! I want to let you know about a cool new feature. John 3:16 (Put your mouse over the reference!) I have installed a system called RefTagger on our site, when you list a scripture reference it will automatically show the whole verse when you put your mouse cursor over the reference. The popup box also has a link that you can click to see the verse in context in the whole bible at the Logos site. For now the default translation is NIV.
RefTagger supports all of the Bible book names and their standard abbreviations, however it is case sensative so john 3:16 would not be tagged, nor would GEN 1:1.
For those of you have a favorite verse and you just have to have a specific translation you can do that too!
To add a translation just place the translation initials after the verse in any of the following formats John 3:16 MESSAGE John 3:16 (NLT) John 3:16, NKJV
The available versions are: AMP – Amplified Version KJV – King James Version MESSAGE – The Message (paraphrase) NASB – New American Standard Bible NIV – New International Version NIRV – New International Readers Version (NIV with 5th grade vocabulary) NKJV – New King James Version NLT – New Living Translation There are some others but not as well know, including some old translations like Darby’s etc.
