Welcome
Teaching Homes for Christ meets once a month on the 4th Monday of each month.

Our meetings start at 7:00 PM and generally end at 9:00 PM.

Our monthly meetings provide insight and assistance to those who are teaching their children at home.

We also organize special events and field trips for our members.

A Taste of THC Aug 22nd

An introduction to Teaching Homes for Christ (THC) including how to get the most out of THC.

Homeschool 101 K – 12 Sept 26th

A time to discuss what works best for us as homeschoolers!
There will be presentations and time for plenty of questions.
We will breakout to smaller sessions based on the age of your students so that those just beginning can ask about how to start, and those with older students can ask questions specific to their grade levels including those who have new high school students.

A Heart for Service Oct 24th

For most of us service is part of our life, but how does service relate to educating our children?
Join us for a discussion of how integrating service not only enriches our children’s education, but how it can even expand their educational opportunities as they approach college!

Homeschool Resource Fair Nov 28th

Have you ever wondered what your fellow homeschooler’s favorite educational web sites were? How about how they stay current on political issues?
This is your opportunity find the answer to these questions and more.
We will have an informal time of trading favorite sources for information, curriculum materials, and  educational locations and opportunities.

THC takes December OFF! Merry Christmas

Fun Family Fitness Jan 23rd

Exploring how to make fitness and physical education a fun and productive part of our educational plan.

February Fling Feb 27th

A fun time to relax and lighten up to get over the winter doldrums

Academic History Fair March 26th

A time for our students to present projects where they can share what they are learning in history this year.

(Please don’t forget you need to sign up if your students want to present at a table!)

Encouragement Night – April 23rd

A time of encouragement and appreciation for your efforts to train up your children in the way they should go!

Recognition Night May 21 (ALTERNATE LOCATION!)

Recognition night is a time for our students to be recognized for their efforts.
Students who sign up may participate by demonstrating what they have been learning.
Some examples include poetry recitation or  musical performances.

Please note THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD AT WHEATON BIBLE CHURCH on North Ave just west of County Farm Road.
